On peptide stabilisation
Matrixyl 3000 is light- and air-stable in well-formulated systems. We use opaque tubes with metered pumps for this product specifically to avoid the degradation that can happen in clear glass bottles exposed to UV.
On bakuchiol vs retinol
A 2019 British Journal of Dermatology trial compared 0.5% bakuchiol to 0.5% retinol over 12 weeks. Both produced comparable improvements in wrinkles and pigmentation; bakuchiol caused significantly less scaling and stinging. We use 1% as a slightly more aggressive but still well-tolerated dose.
How to use
Apply two pumps after cleansing, before any heavier cream. Massage into damp skin on torso, arms, and legs. Morning, evening, or both.
When not to use
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your physician before introducing bakuchiol. Patch test if you have known fragrance or peptide sensitivity.
